Tin Soldiers is my first official Halo montage — a short solo project edited to “Without Question” by Elton John, a song from my favorite movie, The Road to El Dorado. The gameplay is my own, recorded over about three weeks, and the edit itself took shape over three months. It’s a feel-good, light montage with only a handful of clips — nothing too wild gameplay-wise, but I put a lot of effort into the editing side.

This was originally meant to be my Montage 1, but I lost motivation to continue and decided to move on from editing my own gameplay. I’m more passionate about editing for others again, so I’ve chosen to scrap the full project and release what I had. Even though it’s short (around 1:20), I did my best to wrap it up with credits and make it feel complete, even if it ends a little abruptly.

A Meaningful Introduction

Shoutout to my little nephew Julian for saying the name of the video — “Tin Soldiers” — which you’ll hear at the start. That moment means a lot to me.
