God Hands

Overview

PREMIERE: June 5, 2025
CREATOR: pTw
ALLOCATION: 1 OF 1 MASTER

⚠️ I know the quality is super blurry — all the clips were pulled from YouTube and stream VODs. I used Topaz AI to enhance everything as much as possible. Honestly, it’s a miracle it looks half as good as it does. ⚠️

A Deeply Personal Dedication

EDITORS NOTE: I included my mother and brother in the credits of the video. I worked really hard on this, having spent around 250 hours on the project, so I wanted to dedicate the video to them. In the final frame is a picture of my ex-wife whom I owe an apology to, and I placed her at the very end of the video as a token of good faith between us.

The Inspiration Behind the Vision

“God Hands” is a tribute to Halo Infinite’s pro legend Lucid — one of the best players in the world — inspired by Diego Maradona’s famous “Hand of God” goal and serves as an ode to the legendary Argentine footballer who passed away. This montage features high-level gameplay against top competition, edited as cleanly as I could given the quality of the footage.

As for doing this video for Lucid, I do not really play Halo Infinite or follow the HCS scene. I could’ve picked any pro to do this video for, and I chose Lucid because he was ranked in the top 3 when I was researching top Halo Infinite players; he had some really sick plays and he has a big following. I have no ties or connections to Lucid, nor do I expect him to acknowledge this video (if he does that’d be great, but that wasn’t the point of this video). I wanted to edit some Halo Infinite and break into that montage space. I fully expect Lucid to ignore this video and pretend it doesn’t exist.

Production and Collaborative Damage Control

The video was mostly edited by me (pTw4short) in Adobe After Effects 2025, with Sony Vegas for sound and Topaz AI for upscaling. My good friend Slippin contributed a brief but impactful 3D effect that adds a striking visual moment without interrupting the flow.

Slippin did the 3D in like two 1-hour sessions by the way, so don’t expect anything crazy. He also asked that his name be omitted from the introduction; however, by the time he made that request, the video was finalized. I’m just doing damage control for anyone expecting something ridiculous. Just to clarify again, Slippin did the big effect in this montage—he did not do the introduction or the Skull.

The entire montage is angleless, focused purely on Lucid’s insane skill — a personal nod to the iconic EVE Counter-Strike video, which was a major inspiration for the making of this video.

Despite some technical challenges (especially syncing effects across compositions), the final result came together smoothly. Early reactions have been extremely positive — even before the final SFX and 3D sequences were added. While I don’t think this is a crazy good video due to footage limitations, the scene needs more videos, and I’m proud to contribute.

THIS ONE IS FOR GOD HANDS.
